Alexander Kougiya

Alexander (Sasha) Kougiya is an experienced project manager with a strong background in transmission operations and substation projects. Currently, at SaskPower since April 2016, Kougiya oversees construction management for capital and sustainment transmission initiatives, coordinating resources, schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Previously, Kougiya served as a project manager and design engineer at AltaLink, managing high voltage substation projects while collaborating with various stakeholders and delivering engineering design packages. Earlier roles at SaskPower included positions as an engineering summer student and intern, focused on updating distribution network models and supporting regional engineers. Kougiya holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan.
