Emil du Toit

Vice President Operations, Gas Circuit at Sasol

Emil Du Toit has extensive experience in the chemical manufacturing industry. Emil began their career at Sasol Synfuels in 2004, where they served as a Commissioning Manager and later as a Production Divisional Manager. During their time there, they were responsible for planning and scheduling commissioning activities, recruiting and training commissioning teams, and coordinating the construction and commissioning of new operating units. In 2012, Du Toit joined Sasol as Vice President Operations, initially focusing on gas circuit operations and later transitioning to gas production. Emil has 25 years of experience with Sasol, primarily in operations and project commissioning environments, specializing in Fischer Tropsch, Methane Reforming, and Coal Gasification technologies.

Emil Du Toit obtained a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Stellenbosch University between 1990 and 1994. Prior to that, they completed their secondary education and obtained a Matric certificate from Daniel Pienaar between 1985 and 1989.
