Shanitha Ramparsad has a diverse work experience, primarily with Sasol. Shanitha started their career as an Engineer in Training at Sappi Fine Paper in 2001. Shanitha then worked as a SAP Optimisation Specialist at Eskom from 2002 to 2005. Shanitha joined Sasol Technology in 2005 as a Business Information Consultant in R&D and later transitioned to the role of SAP Consultant. From 2010 to 2014, they worked as a Senior IM Specialist: Consulting (Manufacturing) at Sasol Polymers. Shanitha then moved to Sasol in 2014 as an ERP Plant Operations Service Owner until 2017. In 2017, they became the Group Planning and Optimisation Manager at Sasol. Shanitha then progressed to several leadership roles at Sasol, including Senior Manager Group ERP, Group Head: ERP and Enterprise Applications, and currently serves as the Head of IT Business Platforms, responsible for driving the modernization and digitalization journey of Sasol's business platforms.

Shanitha Ramparsad completed their education with a B-Tech in Chemical Engineering from TUT in 2003-2004. Shanitha then pursued further education, earning certifications as a Solution Consultant in Plant Maintenance from SAP SA in 2007 and in Project Systems in 2008. In 2011, they received a Certificate of Awareness from MESA International - GEP. Their education culminated in a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Gordon Institute of Business Science in 2014-2015.
