Shawn Karow

Shawn Karow is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in embedded software development, currently serving as a Senior Embedded Software Engineer and Manager at Gogo since December 2024. Prior to this role, Shawn held a managerial position as a Senior Embedded Linux Software Engineer at Satcom Direct from April 2015, focusing on embedded Linux router products, communication with various WAN sources, and integration of build systems. Earlier experience includes significant contributions at PIKA Technologies Inc from February 2000 to April 2015 in roles such as Applications Developer, Field Applications Engineer, Software Developer, and Developer for Product Verification, with a strong emphasis on developing applications for telephony systems and ensuring software performance. Shawn holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace from Carleton University, completed in 1996.
