Abdurrahman Aljuhani, Ph.D., is a highly experienced engineer specializing in RF design, with a professional background spanning over 12 years in various roles. Currently serving as the Lead RF Design Engineer at SAMI since April 2022, Abdurrahman also holds a position as a Research Assistant Professor at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, focusing on RF integrated circuits and systems for communications and defense applications. Previous roles include Director and Principal Investigator at the Center of Excellence for Telecom Applications, where significant projects involved developing high-performance phased arrays for SATCOM. As the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is transferring to a new phase based on human resources, diversification of income sources, and self-sufficiency, and fulfilling the promise of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz. Crown Prince and Prime Minister to localize half of the military expenditure by 2030, SAMI was founded in May 2017 as a national entity concerned with developing and supporting defense industries in the Kingdom, and enhancing its self-sufficiency. SAMI will be one of the most important outputs of vision 2030 which requires the activation of new sectors and the opening prospects for local investment.
