Sunny Somers is an experienced operations specialist in the nuclear industry, currently serving as the H-Canyon Lead Operations Specialist and Deputy Operations Manager at Savannah River Nuclear Solutions since December 2021. With a strong background in engineering and technical operations, Sunny has previously held roles such as Salt Waste Processing Facility Shift Technical Engineer at Parsons Corporation, where a notable achievement included developing a recovery plan to restore plant operations following an outage. Early career experiences include serving as H-Canyon Shift Technical Engineer and HB-Line Process Engineer at Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, focusing on safety and quality control in nuclear processes.
