Mark Murphy is a distinguished Senior Partner at the Center for Digestive and Liver Health in Savannah, Georgia, where significant contributions have been made to the growth of a leading gastroenterology practice since 1994. In addition to medical practice, Mark Murphy is a novelist, with two published works, including "The Curse of the Thrax," part of a Young Adult trilogy, and has contributed to the literary community as a columnist for the Savannah Morning News. Mark Murphy also serves on the Dean's Advisory Council at the University of Georgia and has a longstanding role as an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at Mercer University. Leadership experience includes serving as President of the Savannah Book Festival and being a member of the Board of Directors at Memorial Health. Mark Murphy completed a fellowship in Internal Medicine/Gastroenterology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and holds a B.S. in Zoology from The University of Georgia.
