Karl Brutsaert

Karl Brutsaert is an accomplished leader in the renewable energy sector with extensive experience in project development and corporate origination. Currently serving as Vice President of Development & Origination at SB Energy since April 2022, Karl previously held key roles at First Solar, including Vice President for the Americas region and Vice President of Global Corporate Origination. Throughout a career that spans various leadership positions, Karl has been responsible for substantial revenue generation, securing Power Purchase Agreements with major corporations, and pioneering innovative contract structures. Additional experience includes consultancy at The Boston Consulting Group and leadership roles in Asia, where Karl significantly expanded First Solar's business in Japan and India. Educationally, Karl holds a BS degree, Cum Laude, in Operations Research & Engineering from Cornell University.
