SBB Cargo
Philipp Thalmann currently serves as the Leiter Automation Bahnbetrieb at SBB Cargo, a position held since April 2007, where responsibilities include leading an innovation project focused on automating rail operations and optimizing shunting operations, as well as implementing project outcomes into production. Thalmann also fulfills the role of Solution Manager for digital applications in operational execution. Previously, Thalmann headed regional cargo production in Zurich and Central Switzerland, overseeing 200 employees, and contributed as a Project Manager at SBB, where process management in interval planning was developed and implemented. Academic qualifications include a Master of Advanced Studies in General Management from Universität Bern-Rochester and a Higher Business Diploma from KLZ Zürich.
