Michael Nolan has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Michael is currently serving as the Vice President of Operations and Product Enablement at SBLI since July 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Program Management at Transamerica from April 2023 to July 2023.
From February 2021 to March 2023, they held the position of Senior Vice President and Head of Operations Project Delivery at iptiQ by Swiss Re. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing various project solutions, strategic planning, and operational excellence.
Before that, Michael worked at Lincoln Financial Group as a Senior Consultant for Strategic Programs and Operations from June 2018 to February 2021. In this role, they managed the Strategic Programs Office and collaborated with leadership on department and market goals.
Michael has also worked at Liberty Mutual Insurance, where they held multiple roles including Director of Portfolio Execution, Director of Program and Operations, Manager of Program Management Office, and Manager of Corporate Strategy, from June 2011 to June 2018.
Prior to their time at Liberty Mutual Insurance, they served as a Member of the Board of Directors at Acorn School from February 2015 to June 2018.
Michael's earlier experience includes roles at Brown Brothers Harriman as Department Head of Finance and Project Management, Senior Manager of Project Management Office, and Senior Project Manager. These roles were held from July 2007 to December 2011.
Michael started their career at Putnam Investments, where they held various positions including Senior Business Improvement Analyst, Business Improvement Analyst, Manager of Business Operations and Analytics, Associate of Business Operations and Analytics, and Client Experience Associate from November 1999 to October 2007.
Michael Nolan attended Merrimack College from 1998 to 2002, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing. Michael has also obtained several additional certifications, including the Art of Leadership from 2logical - The Motivational Intelligence Company in August 2019, SAFe® 4 Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) from Scaled Agile, Inc. in November 2015, and a Project Management Certificate from Merrimack College in March 2013. Michael has also pursued certifications in the Series 6 and Series 63 from FINRA, but the specific dates of completion are not provided.
