Gitta ten Hoope has a diverse work experience spanning over a period of more than 20 years. Gitta began their career in 1998 at Ernst Walz Bauersbach as the Head of the Dispatch Department, where they worked until 1999. From 1999 to 2005, Gitta worked as a Researcher at Wageningen UR (University & Research centre). Gitta then joined Chrysal International BV in 2005 as a Technical Product Manager for the Consumer Goods Pokon division, before transitioning to Hortiwise in 2007 as a Freelance Consultant. In the same year, they also took on the role of Area Manager for Terra Nigra, responsible for multiple countries. Gitta further expanded their expertise as an Area Manager at Horti Cept from 2008 to 2009 before becoming a Quality Analyst at FlowerWatch B.V. Gitta then joined Royal FloraHolland in 2011 as a Supply Chain Consultant for Product Quality, a role they held until 2019. In 2019, they joined SBM Company as the Manager of Regulatory Affairs, initially for the Benelux region and later transitioning into a broader Managerial role. Overall, Gitta has a wealth of experience in the areas of product quality, supply chain management, consultancy, and regulatory affairs.

Gitta ten Hoope has a diverse education history spanning several years. In 1986 to 1991, they attended Lise-Meitner Gymnasium Neuenhaus and obtained their VWO degree. Following this, from 1993 to 1997, Gitta studied at Berlin University of Applied Sciences Berlin (BHT) and earned their Diplom Ingenieur in Horticulture. In 1998 to 1999, they attended Nägele & Partner for an Unternehmensberatung und Personalentwicklung program, focusing on Operational Management. Moving forward, in 2015 to 2016, Gitta pursued a Masterprogramma in Innovatiemanagement at NCOI Opleidingen. Additionally, they completed a Masterprogramma in Verandermanagement at NCOI Opleidingen in the same period. In 2016, they underwent training in Sales en Accountmanagement at Boertien Vergouwen Overduin and completed a LEAN yellow belt program at In Company LEAN. Lastly, in May 2019, Gitta received a certification in "Data207x: Analyzing and Visualizing Data with Power BI" from edX.
