Abigail Thomas is a seasoned sustainability and product strategy leader with extensive experience in both the media and financial sectors. Currently serving as Head of Sustainability and Collaborative Design Partner at Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) Australia, Abigail has spearheaded the development of sustainability strategies and initiatives, including the establishment of a net zero decarbonisation plan. Prior roles include General Manager of SBS On Demand, where significant user growth and revenue increases were achieved, and Head of Mobile Digital Experience at Commonwealth Bank, where award-winning mobile products were developed. As a co-founder of the Symbiocene Institute, Abigail is dedicated to fostering symbiotic relationships between people and nature. Additional accomplishments include founding OneStep Walks, leading strategic initiatives at Deloitte Digital and Australian Broadcasting Corporation, and driving Sydney's recognition as a UNESCO City of Film. Educational credentials include a BA (Hons) in English Literature from the University of Cambridge and a Post Graduate Diploma in Economics and International Relations from Johns Hopkins SAIS.
