Vincent Yap has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. From 2020 to present, they serve as the Vice President Human Resources (Bus) at SBS Transit Ltd. Vincent also held the position of Vice President Bus Training from 2020 to 2023, and Vice President, Head of Bus Depot from 2021 to 2021 at the same company. Prior to this, Vincent worked at the Ministry of Defence of Singapore, where they were the Head, Centre for Learning System from 2015 to 2020. Vincent also held the position of Commander Air Warfare Training Institute / Head Training Development Group from 2011 to 2015 at MINDEF, Singapore. Vincent's early career includes roles such as Branch Head, Air Plans Department from 2009 to 2011 at the Ministry of Defence of Singapore and Commanding Officer from 2005 to 2008 at Air Defence Squadron, Air Defence Group.
Vincent Yap holds a Diploma in Manufacturing Engineering from Singapore Polytechnic, which they obtained from 1989 to 1992. Vincent then pursued a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Glasgow from 1992 to 1994. Vincent went on to complete a Graduate Diploma in Defence Technology at the National University of Singapore from 2004 to 2005. Lastly, they received a Masters in Instructional Systems with a focus on Learning Sciences, Instructional Systems, and Human Performance from Florida State University in 2008 and 2009.
