Ben Coffman has held a variety of engineering roles in the past decade. In 2011, they were the Director - Head of Engineering iOS at Capital One, where they spearheaded the development of the company's flagship enterprise iOS app, managing a $30M budget and leading large development teams. In 2016, they moved to Farmers Insurance, where they were the Senior Director - Head of Engineering for Web and Mobile, managing an outsourced and in-house team of more than 70 engineers. In 2018, they joined Procore Technologies as the Senior Manager of Engineering for Web and Mobile, leading 6 teams and 40 engineers. In 2020, they moved to HMBradley as the VP of Engineering, where they reported to the CEO and scaled the Seed to B-Round engineering department from a team of 3 engineers to 25+ engineers. Currently, they are the VP of Engineering at Scanifly, where they are using React, React Native, Go, and hosting on AWS using K8s along with numerous third-party integrations.
Ben Coffman received their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus in Finance from Rockhurst University. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Northwest Missouri State University.
