Mikkel Lykke Jensen currently serves as the Chief Scientific Officer at Scantox since January 2021, and is a Council Member at Rådet for dyreforsøg since November 2017. Mikkel held the position of Project Leader and Chief Surgeon at Charles River Laboratories Copenhagen from January 2020 to January 2021, managing projects with internal and external stakeholders and providing scientific advice during client meetings. Prior experience includes being the Head of Technical Operations at Citoxlab from May 2013 to December 2019, overseeing personnel, quality systems, scientific standards, and budget efficiency, as well as serving as Study Director and Chief Surgeon. Mikkel's academic background features a PhD in Animal Models of Early Life Nutrition from the University of Copenhagen, where research focused on animal studies related to nutrition and gut development in pig models.
