Michael Ihlein is a non-executive Director of Scentre Group. He is also Chairman of the Group’s Audit and Risk Committee and a member of the Nomination Committee. Mike is a highly experienced corporate and finance executive with a long career with Coca-Cola Amatil Limited (and related companies) where he was Managing Director, Poland (1995 – 1997) and Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director (1997 – 2004). Mike joined Brambles as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director in March 2004 and held the position of Chief Executive Officer from July 2007 until his retirement in November 2009. Mike holds a Bachelor of Business Studies (Accounting) from the University of Technology, Sydney. He is currently a non-executive Director and Chair of the Risk & Audit Committee of CSR Limited, a non-executive Director and Chair of the Finance & Audit Committee of Inghams Group Limited, and a non-executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee of Ampol Limited and is also a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, CPA Australia and the Financial Services Institute of Australasia. Mike was formerly a Director of Murray Goulburn Co-operative Co. Limited, from 2012 to 2017, and of Snowy Hydro Limited, from 2012 to 2019.

The principal activities of the Company include the ownership, development, design, construction, asset management, leasing and marketing activities with respect to its Australian and New Zealand portfolio of retail properties. Its segments include Property investments segment, which includes net property income from shopping centers, and Property and project management segment, which includes external fee income from third parties, primarily property management and development fees, and associated business expenses. The Company manages, develops and has an ownership interest in Westfield branded shopping centers in Australia and New Zealand. It manages every aspect of its portfolio, including from design, construction and development to leasing, management and marketing.
