Herman de Jong is a Senior Mechanical Test Engineer at Schenck Process since September 2017, specializing in developing IIoT solutions for dosing and feeding systems, while also planning and conducting R&D performance testing on new and optimized products, including testing with client bulk solid materials and for ATEX applications. Prior to this role, Herman served as Research and Development Product Manager at Schenck Process from August 2006 to August 2016, overseeing Directional and Rotational Force Exciters globally and leading projects to expand the DF-exciter product range. Earlier positions include Senior Mechanical R&D Engineer, where project leads included the redesign of modular Apronfeeder and design support for Vibration and Screw Centrifuges for coal processing, as well as Junior Mechanical R&D Engineer. Herman obtained an Ing. degree in Maschinenbau from Avans University of Applied Sciences and studied at Delft University of Technology.
