Jay Schickling

Jay Schickling, MBA, M. Ed, SFO, serves as the Chief Financial Officer for the School District Of Oconee County since April 2022, overseeing a substantial operating budget of over $130 million and total annual expenditures nearing $200 million for a district with 10,000 students and 1,500 staff members. Previously, Schickling held various financial and administrative roles, including a position on the Board of Directors for the Finger Lakes Area School Health Plan and as School Business Administrator for Williamson Central Schools, focusing on budget development and long-term financial planning. With a solid educational background, including a Master’s in Educational Leadership and an MBA, Schickling's experience spans from teaching business courses to managing finance operations and serving on governance boards.
