Jiri Mekyska is a Principal Scientist in Digital Biomarkers and Director of the Brain Diseases Analysis Laboratory at Brno University of Technology, with a focus on the design of digital biomarkers, management of clinical trials, and computerized diagnosis of neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental diseases. With a strong background in biomedical signal processing and machine learning, Jiri has contributed to research on speech and voice disorders, dysgraphia, and remote patient monitoring using wearables. As a Senior Researcher at both the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and CEITEC, Jiri advances clinical research impacting patient outcomes. Jiri also serves as Chief Scientific Officer at Scicake and is actively involved in various scientific panels and committees, ensuring the integration of innovative scientific approaches in healthcare.

Scicake was founded by the core members of the Brain Diseases Analysis Laboratory, the international multidisciplinary research group established at the Brno University of Technology.
