Max Rothman

Max Rothman is an Electrical Engineer currently employed at Science since August 2023. Previous experience includes working as an Undergraduate Researcher at Big Ideas Lab Duke University, where efforts focused on developing a real-time preprocessing and feature extraction pipeline for EEG signals and exploring biofeedback and Augmented Reality for meditation improvement. Rothman also held the position of Engineering Intern at Science and served as a Hardware Engineer with the Duke Applied Machine Learning Group, designing systems for solar arrays and charging stations. Earlier roles include tutoring at Bull City Tutoring, conducting research at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, interning as a Hardware Engineer at Senseware.co, and serving as a Research Associate at the University of Maryland, where research centered on the applicability of ternary logic circuits. Rothman holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering from Duke University, awarded in 2023.
