Carol Morillo has a diverse professional background, currently serving in a Budget & Controlling role at Sciensano since November 2018, focusing on budget management, financial reporting, and annual budget preparation for projects with national and international partners. Prior to this, Carol worked at Allianz Belgium from September 2014 to November 2018, managing financial relations with clients and brokers, overseeing payment plans, and handling bankruptcy management. Earlier roles included teaching Dutch at Sacré Coeur de Lindthout, recruitment consultancy at Configure, and various positions in library management and consultancy missions at Université Libre de Bruxelles, Securex, and Vinçotte. Carol holds a Master's degree in Human Resource Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Université libre de Bruxelles.

For this, Sciensano builds on the more than 100 years of scientific expertise of the former Veterinary and Agrochemical Research Centre (CODA-CERVA) and the ex-Scientific Institute of Public Health (WIV-ISP).
