Carmen Angulo is a seasoned professional in the nuclear sector, currently serving as Project Officer and Head of Accelerator Project for MYRRHA Phase 1 at SCK CEN since January 2017. With extensive experience at TRACTEBEL - ENGIE GROUP from 2007 to 2016, Carmen held various roles including Research & Innovation Coordinator and Thermalhydraulics Group Manager, leading initiatives on Small Modular Reactor technology and oversight of nuclear safety qualifications. Earlier career phases included significant research roles at Université catholique de Louvain, ULB, and the Centre national de la recherche scientifique, contributing to experimental nuclear physics and nuclear data compilation. Carmen holds a PhD in Experimental Nuclear Physics and a University Professorship Habilitation in Nuclear Astrophysics, demonstrating a strong academic foundation complemented by leadership in various European nuclear initiatives.
