Dekempeneer Erik is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in research and project management across various organizations. Currently serving as the Program Coordinator of MINERVA Design&Build at SCK CEN since February 2020, Dekempeneer has held multiple roles at Bekaert from January 2002 to October 2019, including PMO Manager, Portfolio Manager, Innovation Manager, Senior R&D Platform Manager, Head of R&D Department, and R&D Project Manager. Prior experience includes researcher positions at VITO, Philips, and the Joint Research Centre, focusing on thin film coatings, ion implantation, and experimental nuclear physics. Dekempeneer earned a PhD in Physics with a specialization in Nuclear Physics from Vrije Universiteit Brussel between 1978 and 1985.
