Mahmoud Abdelrahman, Ph.D., is a Research Engineer at SCK CEN, specializing in computational dosimetry with a focus on artificial intelligence, machine learning algorithms, and high-performance computing. Research experience includes Monte-Carlo simulations of radiation transport and dosimetry in nuclear reactor dismantling and decommissioning. Previously, Mahmoud served as a doctoral researcher, advancing personal dosimetry applications, and as a graduate research assistant at Forschungszentrum Jülich, working on reactor safety simulations. Mahmoud's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Engineering Science and Technology from the University of Liège, alongside multiple master's degrees in Nuclear Engineering, Nuclear Materials, and Business/Managerial Economics from various institutions. Prior engineering roles involved electrical design and oversight of electrical equipment installations.
