Surya G. is a Bioinformatics Researcher at SCK CEN since April 2021, specializing in data-driven decision-making through the design of robust data pipelines and database systems while coaching colleagues on data management practices. Prior experience includes roles as a Postdoctoral Researcher at VIB-UGent and VIB, where Surya G. developed the MAPPI-DAT system for high-throughput protein-protein interaction data. Earlier positions involve research at the Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding Research and the Max Planck Institute Ageing, focusing on mutant assembly and protein interaction networks. Surya G. holds a PhD in Bioinformatics from Ghent University and a Master's degree in Life Science Informatics from the University of Bonn.
