Tom Clarijs

Project Collaborator at SCK CEN

Tom Clarijs is a professional with extensive experience in the fields of nuclear science, medical applications, and radiology. Currently serving as a Project Collaborator at SCK-CEN since June 2012, Tom contributes to the SCK CEN Academy for Nuclear Science and Technology. Previously, from June 2007 to June 2012, Tom worked as an Expert in Medical Applications at FANC, focusing on areas such as authorizations, legislation, quality control, patient dosimetry, and radiation protection in radiology and nuclear medicine. Prior to that, Tom was a Scientific Researcher at Universiteit Gent, specializing in mammography and radiology from June 2006 to June 2007. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Biomedical Science from Ghent University, a GGS in Biomedical and Clinical Engineering from the same institution, and a post-graduate course in Radiation Protection from Hasselt University.
