Larry A. Shumka

Larry Shumka began his career in the insurance services industry over 34 years ago as an adjuster. During the course of his career, he has served as the President of the Insurance Institute of Canada and the Alberta Association of Insurance Adjusters. As an adjuster, he specialized in property losses up to 5 million dollars, course of construction, arson and fraud investigation, computer losses, fidelity and surety, business interruption, and construction liability losses. Mr. Shumka belongs to the Fellowship of Chartered Insurance Professionals. With a degree in Business Management from the University of Alberta, he also has training in negotiation, aircraft accident investigation, and managing and developing interpersonal relationships, and is a licensed pilot.
