ScoresMatter

We founded Scores Matter in 2011 on the conclusion that much of what consumers do online is tracked and stored by companies in the form of data, leading to the creation of personal digital profiles of each individual. Financial entities use these profiles to create perceptions of individuals, and these perceptions can have serious implications for consumers. They can affect the way one views the pricing of certain products online, the job offers they receive, the loans they’re eligible for, or and they can even result in targeted attacks by malicious entities that are out to steal and sell their information. That’s where we come in. We see each your digital perception as an individual book. A book that is written in strings of code, presented in numerical values, stored by computers, and processed instantly. These values become scores, and these scores become actionable events that can drastically affect your life. Our goal is to empower everyone with the means to mould their digital perception into a book with chapters that elevate the way they are perceived in the eyes of others. Through our suite of tools, consumers will be able to detect if criminals have compromised their identity on the Dark Web, see what their social media activity says about them, monitor their credit, and determine their loan affordability. All of which are reflected by easy to understand and personalized scores. Scores are important to us, but it's what individuals make of them that matters most of all.
