Hugh Baker has extensive experience in the finance and shipping industries. Hugh is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Eneti Inc. (formerly Scorpio Bulkers Inc.) since February 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Managing Director at Scorpio USA LLC starting from July 2012. Before that, they worked as a Managing Director at Evercore Partners from January 2010 to August 2012. Hugh also has previous experience as the Head of Shipping, Americas at HSH Nordbank A.G. from January 2007 to December 2009.
Hugh Baker earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 1987 to 1990. Hugh also obtained a Master of Science degree in Shipping, Trade & Finance from Cass Business School from 1991 to 1992.
