Emir Cortés Trujillo

Emir Cortés Trujillo is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in digital transformation and engineering. Currently serving as CIO at Scotiabank Colpatria, Emir oversees IT infrastructure, product development, and cybersecurity initiatives, driving modernization through cloud adoption and agile practices. Prior roles at Scotiabank include Head of Digital Engineering and Architecture, Chief Digital Officer, and Head of Engineering, each contributing to significant advancements in the bank's digital landscape. Emir's previous experience includes leadership positions at PayU, where process optimization and team productivity enhancements were initiated, and at Indra, where insights were gained in software architecture and technical leadership. In addition, Emir has a solid academic background, holding a Systems Engineering degree and currently pursuing a Master's in Computer Science.
