Rick Maynard

Rick Maynard is an experienced public relations professional and editorial cartoonist with a diverse background spanning several industries. Currently serving as an Editorial Cartoonist for Georgetown News-Graphic since January 2023, Maynard also holds the position of Senior Manager, Public Relations at Yum! Brands since February 2021. Previously, Maynard led public relations and corporate communications at Tempur Sealy International, following the merger of Tempur-Pedic and Sealy from July 2014 to January 2021. Maynard’s extensive career includes roles such as Senior Manager and Manager of Public Relations at KFC Corporation, and earlier positions at Yum! Brands and Valvoline managing marketing communications and sports marketing initiatives. Maynard earned a B.S. in Journalism from the University of Kentucky between 1984 and 1989.
