Rachel Matthews is an experienced Operations Officer at the Scottish Prison Service since August 2022, following a role as Senior Sales Assistant at Bayne's the Family Bakers from November 2020 to August 2022. Prior to this, Rachel served as a Food Service Adviser at Debenhams Retail - Cafe from June 2019 to May 2020 and as a Customer Assistant at TJ Hughes from April 2017 to September 2018. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Criminology from Edinburgh Napier University, completed between 2018 and 2022, and attended Tupton Hall Sixth Form from 2015 to 2018.

The Scottish Prison Service (SPS) is an Executive Agency of the Scottish Government and was first established in April 1993. Our Framework Document sets out the policy and resources framework set by Scottish Ministers within which the SPS operates. As an Executive Agency, the SPS is funded by the Scottish Government.
