Scottish Prison Service
Sophie Murray has accumulated valuable experience in human resources, currently serving as an HR Officer (Acting) at the Scottish Prison Service since July 2022, following roles as a Human Resource Administrator and Human Resources Assistant within the same organization. Prior to this, Sophie worked as a Care Assistant at Care UK from April 2021 to September 2021. Sophie is also a recent graduate of the University of Stirling, having completed studies from 2018 to 2023.

The Scottish Prison Service (SPS) is an Executive Agency of the Scottish Government and was first established in April 1993. Our Framework Document sets out the policy and resources framework set by Scottish Ministers within which the SPS operates. As an Executive Agency, the SPS is funded by the Scottish Government.
