Scottish Prison Service
Stephen Keir has extensive experience in the field of maintenance and electrical engineering, currently serving as the Deputy Area Maintenance Manager at the Scottish Prison Service since December 2014, with prior roles including Maintenance Manager, Technical Manager, and Electrical Engineer. Before joining the Scottish Prison Service, Stephen worked as an Electrician at Hutcheon Services Ltd from August 2011 to December 2014 and began their career as an Electrical Apprentice at CARE LTD from August 2006 to February 2011. Stephen Keir holds an HNC in Building Services Engineering from Edinburgh College (2017-2019) and has completed education at Dundee and Angus College and Menzieshill High School (2001-2006).
Scottish Prison Service
The Scottish Prison Service (SPS) is an Executive Agency of the Scottish Government and was first established in April 1993. Our Framework Document sets out the policy and resources framework set by Scottish Ministers within which the SPS operates. As an Executive Agency, the SPS is funded by the Scottish Government.
