Founding Partner & CEO at Scrum Ventures

Tak Miyata has over 20 years of international experience in the IT industry, both as an entrepreneur and a senior executive. He founded Scrum Ventures in 2013 and serves as General Partner. In 2002, Tak founded his first US-based startup, biometrics firm Neven Vision, which was acquired by Google. Tak then established J-Magic, a Japan-based startup to develop mobile-specific services using image analysis technology. After the company exited, Tak joined Mixi, where he served as the CEO of Mixi America. Tak began his career as a systems engineer for Electronic Data Systems (an HP company) and holds a Master’s degree in Nano Science from Waseda University.
