Vanio Joao has extensive work experience, starting in 2006 as a Senior Auditor at Deloitte South Africa. In this role, they participated in external audits and managed multiple audit staff. Vanio then joined Weatherford in 2010, where they served as a Financial Controller. During their tenure, they achieved compliance with Sarbanes Oxley 404, saved $25 million in taxes, and managed a $200 million P&L for seven business units. From 2012 to 2015, Vanio continued in the role of Financial Controller at Weatherford, focusing on accounting, finance, and supply chain functions. Vanio successfully coordinated a tax audit defending a $100 million tax fine. In 2016, Vanio joined JPTE Engenharia as their Financial Director, responsible for capital restructuring, financial reporting, and cost management. Vanio reduced the cost of capital from 45% to 15% by sourcing foreign equity finance and secured foreign funding through mergers and acquisitions. In 2019, Vanio became the Financial Director at Seaboard Overseas and Trading Group, where they currently hold the position.
Vanio Joao has an MBA in Finance, General from Oxford Brookes University. Prior to obtaining the MBA, they also earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from the same university. In addition, they hold a certification as a Chartered Certified Accountant from ACCA, as well as a certification as a Certified Accounting Technician, also from ACCA.

We source, transport and market approximately 14 million tons of agricultural commodities each year. The division integrates the service of delivering commodities to its customers in the U.S., South America, Europe, Australia and Asia, through the use of chartered and owned bulk vessels. Seaboard's milling facilities include flour, maize and rice milling, poultry, pork and pasta production, bakery operations and animal feed production.
