Seth Farquharson

Chief Engineer at Seabulk

Seth Farquharson has gained extensive work experience in the maritime industry. Seth began their career as a Cadet at Höegh Fleet Services in 2007 and later worked as an Engineer at Hartley Marine Services from 2006 to 2008. Seth then joined Otto Candies as a 3rd Assistant Engineer from 2008 to 2009. From 2009 to 2012, Seth worked at Hoegh LNG Fleet Management AS, initially as a 2nd Assistant Engineer and then as a 3rd Assistant Engineer. Seth was responsible for engine room management, preventative maintenance, and inventory management. In 2012, they joined Noble Drilling as a 2nd Engineer, where they worked on a 6th Generation, DP3 Deepwater Drillship and actively participated in company HSE programs. Seth then worked at Maersk Drilling as a Maintenance Engineer and later as an Engine Room Responsible from 2013 to 2017. Currently, Seth is employed at Seabulk as a 1st Assistant Engineer and Chief Engineer, with their latest role starting in April 2022. Seth brings a wealth of experience in ship systems, maintenance, and operation.

Seth Farquharson attended Massachusetts Maritime Academy from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Engineering. After completing their undergraduate studies, they enrolled at the State University of New York from 2008 to 2010, pursuing a Masters of Science degree in International Transportation Management.
