Carl Young, PhD, serves as the Principal Analytical Chemist at Sealed Air Corporation since June 2011, where expertise in analytical chemistry drives high-impact product development and manufacturing initiatives. Previously, Carl held the position of Sr. Analytical Chemist, focusing on validating material properties for packaging applications. Carl's academic experience includes a role as a Teaching Assistant at Wake Forest University, teaching various chemistry labs and leading tutoring sessions. As a Research Assistant, Carl designed and executed experiments using ICP-OES and HPLC. Additional experience includes a Preclinical Research Internship at Targacept, Inc., where tissue dissection and data analysis were performed, and a role at Scynexis as a QC Contractor, conducting analytical work for clients. Carl received a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Wake Forest University and a BS in Chemistry from East Carolina University.
