Gergana Abernathy

Gergana Abernathy is a skilled archivist with extensive experience in archival management and digitization. Currently serving as a Project Archivist at The Seattle Public Library since August 2023, Gergana previously worked at Gates Archive as an Archivist from October 2019 to March 2022 and held the position of Assistant Archivist at Concordis LLC from January 2017 to October 2019. Prior roles include Technical Services Assistant and Archival Digitization Specialist at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where Gergana contributed to significant advancements in finding aid creation, digitization projects, and data quality standards. Gergana holds a Master of Science in Information Science and a Bachelor of Arts in History, both from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
