Alex Webster

Alex Webster is a seasoned professional in sporting events development and strategic communication, currently serving as the Director of Sporting Events Development at the Seattle Sports Commission since December 2023. As the founder of AdvanceNext, a consulting think tank established in 2009, Alex focuses on digital strategy and organizational management for higher education and nonprofit clients. A longtime sports media specialist since 1991, Alex has extensive experience in sportscasting and production across various platforms. Previous roles include managing alumni relations and business development at City University of Seattle, serving on the Board of Directors for Leadership Snohomish County, and working as a development director at Imagine Children's Museum. Educational credentials include a BA in Communication and English from Washington State University, along with ongoing studies for a Master's degree in Leadership and a Graduate Certificate in Change Leadership at City University of Seattle.
