Matthew Teaman

Lead Researcher at SEIU Local 1

Matthew Teaman currently serves as the Lead Researcher at SEIU Local 1, a position held since April 2012, focusing on organizing strategies through comprehensive research on corporate structures, regulatory compliance, and economic analysis. Previously, Matthew worked as a Research Coordinator in the SEIU Healthcare Division from June 2008 to May 2011, where responsibilities included managing researchers and developing intervention strategies in healthcare-related campaigns. Early career experiences include roles as a Law Clerk at SEIU's Legal Department and multiple law clerk positions at legal service organizations, as well as a Student Associate at the Institute for Public Representation, where Matthew contributed to legal briefs and client communications. Matthew holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Women's Studies from The Ohio State University.
