Currently serving as Chief Executive Officer at Self Gen Connect Ltd since August 2023, Shaun previously held key leadership roles including Ops & Business Development Director at iM8world from July 2017 to December 2022, and Chief Operating Officer at CLEANRWITH INTERNATIONAL LTD, where involvement in developing an award-winning Blockchain connected biocide solution occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic. As the Founder of Best Price Car Buyers Ltd, Shaun established a platform connecting over 6000 dealers in the UK from January 2010 to May 2013. How did Self Gen Connect Ltd come about? Shaun and Rick first worked together back in 1996 and are both seasoned professionals with many years of ethical business and management experience. Having worked in the Solar Energy and Storage industry, two inescapable factors became apparent very quickly. Firstly, with the daily evidence of the need to achieve net zero emission targets absolutely refusing to be ignored, plus the intense focus on providing renewable energy solutions, the needs for ‘Energy Storage Systems’ and ‘Renewable Energy Capture’ are definitely here to stay! Secondly, as with many growth industries, there is a latent disparity between what you, the end users, need and what you actually get for your money! Recognising these inescapable factors was what led Shaun and Rick to form Self Gen Connect Ltd. Helping people to navigate their way through the unavoidable challenges of addressing energy usage options and thereby finding the most efficient and cost-effective solution was SGC’s reason for being!
