Alexis Dimitriadis is a seasoned Data and Knowledge Engineer at Semantic Web Company GmbH since February 2018. Prior to this role, Alexis served as an Assistant Professor and Senior Researcher at the Utrecht Institute of Linguistics OTS, Utrecht University, from November 2005 to February 2019, and worked as a Research Associate at the University of Amsterdam from May 2004 to December 2009. During the tenure at the University of Amsterdam, Alexis led the Typological Database System project, creating an integrated web interface for various typological databases using XML-based technologies and custom domain-specific language. Alexis holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics from the University of Pennsylvania, an M.A. in Mathematics from Portland State University, and dual B.A. degrees in Biology from Reed College.
