Josiah Siegel

Josiah Siegel has worked in a variety of roles over the past 18 years. In 2003, they served as a Paratrooper in the US Army. From 2012 to 2013, they worked as an IT Engineer for MD Tech Pro. From 2013 to 2017, they were a Database Administrator and Software Developer for ATN International. During this time, they administered 17 enterprise-level Microsoft SQL Server database environments, created SQL Server Enterprise Data Warehouse solutions with SSAS data cubes, and implemented in-place and side-by-side migrations of SQL server versions ranging from 2005 to 2016. From 2017 to 2021, they worked as a Sql Server Database Administrator and Data & DevOps Architect for Victra - Verizon Authorized Retailer. During this time, they administered 15 enterprise-level Microsoft SQL Server database environments, established, maintained, and enforced company standards for database security, maintenance, auditing, monitoring, high-availability, DevOps, and backup/restore, and lead the migration from on-premises to cloud, including adoption of Azure specific technologies. Currently, they are a Senior DevOps Engineer for SemanticBits.

Josiah Siegel received their Bachelor's degree in Information Technology with a minor in Cyber Security from Armstrong State University between 2010 and 2014. Josiah has also obtained several certifications from Microsoft, including Azure Fundamentals (2020), MCSE: Data Management and Analytics (2017), MCSA: SQL 2016 Database Administration (2017), Microsoft Certified Professional (2017), and MTA: Database Fundamentals (2017).
