Brian Rivard

Brian Rivard's work experience starts in 1983, where they worked as a Software Engineer at Logicraft, developing terminal emulation and supporting utilities. Brian then moved on to LaserData in 1988, where they served as a Senior Software Engineer and Project Lead, working on object-oriented C++ imaging toolkit and developing a multimedia image browser and viewer. In 1994, they joined Cayman Systems as a Project Lead, overseeing GUI and OLE Automation interface design for remote access server product and developing remote access client software. Brian later worked at Shiva as an Engineering Project Manager, managing a team and collaborating with Netscape and Microsoft engineers to integrate Shiva's dial-in technologies. In 1997, Rivard joined Unifi Communications as a Senior Manager, responsible for document applications. Brian then worked at Segue Software as a Development Manager, leading a team of software engineers and maintaining and extending SilkTest and SilkRadar products. Finally, in 2000, they became the CTO at Semcasting, Inc. with a position that is ongoing.

Brian Rivard completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Lowell from 1981 to 1985. Brian then pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the same university, which they obtained from 1987 to 1993. Later on, Brian attended the D'Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University, where they completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business from 1996 to 2000.
