Pieter De Cremer is a Senior Security Researcher at Semgrep since January 2022, previously serving as a Product Innovation PhD Candidate at Secure Code Warrior from June 2017 to December 2021, where a personal PhD grant from the Flemish government facilitated research in collaboration with Ghent University. During the PhD, Pieter developed the paved path methodology to foster collaboration between developers and security teams. Prior experience includes a role as a Security Researcher at Sensei Security from September 2016 to June 2017, where Pieter authored 120 software security rules for Java web applications.
