Technical Advisory Board Chairman, And Industry Liaison at Semiconductor Research

Ro Cammarota is a seasoned professional in the field of encrypted computing and cryptographic technologies, currently serving as a Senior Principal Engineer at Intel Labs since March 2020. In this role, Ro leads the theory, application, and standardization of encrypted data processing methods, while steering the encrypted computing program and advancing cryptography and security technologies. Ro is also an expert delegate in various technical standards committees, including the INCITS AI Standards Committee and ISO JTC-1 SC 27 and SC 42. Previous experience includes positions at Qualcomm, Wi-Fi Alliance, and Semiconductor Research Corporation, enhancing expertise in secure computing, artificial intelligence hardware, and cryptographic implementations. Ro holds a PhD in Computer Science from UC Irvine, complemented by master’s degrees from UC Irvine and Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II.
