Robert Comanescu

Robert Comanescu has over two decades of experience in the semiconductor industry, currently serving as the Senior Director and General Manager of the IoT chip business at Semtech since January 2005. In this role, Robert oversees the strategy, product management, and business decisions related to LoRa and Wireless ICs within the IoT System Products Business Unit. Previous positions at Semtech include Senior Director of Product Management and Sr. Director of Technical Product Management, focusing on product development and integration for IoT solutions. Earlier in his career, Robert held various engineering roles at Xemics SA, Philips Semiconductors, and LDIC Romania. Robert earned a degree from the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest and completed studies at Colegiul "Tudor Vianu."
