Vitor Mendes

Vitor Mendes is a Robotics Engineer Intern at SENAI CIMATEC, where responsibilities include the development of robotic solutions for the Oil and Gas industry, particularly in the area of non-destructive testing (NDT) inspection. Mendes has also taken on the role of Research Fellow in Robotics, collaborating with SHELL Brazil on soft robotics manipulators for inspections in oil production, focusing on closed-loop control systems and sensor fusion. Additionally, work as a Research Fellow in IoT involves creating a system for leak detection using digital signal processing. Previously, Mendes served as Chair and Secretary for the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society at SENAI CIMATEC, emphasizing knowledge sharing and volunteer empowerment through training programs. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering at Centro Universitário SENAI CIMATEC, expected to graduate in 2025.
