Jacob Barnett

Jacob Barnett is an experienced technology leader serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Herald since April 2021, where responsibilities include leading tech development for a VC-backed startup focused on connectivity in the SMB commercial insurance sector. Simultaneously, Jacob holds the position of Engineering Lead at Send Chinatown Love, guiding volunteer engineers on initiatives to support NYC's neighborhoods. Previous roles include significant positions at Haven Life, Microsoft, and various internships, encompassing expertise in software development, full stack architecture, and data engineering. Jacob holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering with a minor in Economics from McGill University and has additional educational experience at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
